James C. Bass is an attorney at Bass Law Firm, P.C. He joined the firm in 1966.

Jim has been recognized as an Oklahoma Super Lawyer® in the areas of real estate and estate planning and is listed as a Best Lawyer in America® in the areas of trusts and estates.

Jim has served on the Board of Directors of the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation since 1988 and has been the chairman of the board’s Executive Committee since 2002. He has also been a member of Board of Trustees of Oklahoma City University since 1998. Jim is a past member of the El Reno City Council (1973-76 and 1986-89), the Board of Trustees of Park View Hospital Authority (1975-94), the Board of Trustees of Vestry of Christ Memorial Episcopal Church, and the Board of Directors of the El Reno Chamber of Commerce.

Jim received his J.D. from the Oklahoma City University in 1966. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Oklahoma in 1960.

Jim is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, where he has filled several leadership roles including the position of Vice-President in 1996. He is admitted to practice before all Oklahoma Courts, the United States District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma, and the United States Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit. He is also a member of the American Bar Association and the Canadian County Bar Association. He is a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, American College of Trial Lawyers, the American Bar Foundation, and the Oklahoma Bar Foundation.
